The discovery of a spectacularly decorated and inscribed building at Holmul brought this site to the forefront of Classic Maya history. On September 14, 2014 Dr Francisco Estrada-Belli made this presentation to the Institute of Maya Studies in Miami, Florida.

Francisco Estrada-Belli is Research Professor at the Middle American Research Institute (M.A.R.I.) at Tulane University, Research Associate at American Museum of Natural History, and President of Maya Archaeology Initiative.
