Investigating Middle Preclassic Domestic Occupations of the Puuc Region, Yucatán, México.

with Evan Parker

Explorations on the periphery of the Middle Preclassic settlement of Paso del Macho, Yucatan, have led to the identification and excavation of a simple house platform. In this talk, I examine the state of research on household archaeology of northern Yucatan during the Middle Preclassic, and how excavation of even a simple house platform enriches our understanding of some of the other remarkable findings archaeologists have recently been making in northern Yucatan.
